Dr. Shay and her husband, Dr. Bob Roop, own their own professional counseling clinic. Dr. Shay is a graduate of St. Joseph's College and Nova Southeastern College in counseling psychology. She received her Doctor of Education degree from the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in California. Dr. Shay has given numerous marriage and sexuality seminars in churches as well as being a lecturer on Sexuality and Cancer for area hospitals.
