Brokenness: Nobody wants it, yet most of us experience it. What are we supposed to do when life crashes down around us? Why does God allow his people to go through seasons of such pain and misery? Could God have a purpose for these times of trial and confusion in our lives? Job would say yes, and then go one step further and tell us to praise God through the pain. If there is any character in the Bible who knew brokenness, it is Job. But the greatest blessing in his life came in the midst of his suffering. His faith was stretched to limits many of us will probably never experience. But Job learned that in brokenness, we see God. In Broken: When Life Falls Apart, we will learn the same.
From his stunningly honest reaction to tragedy to his declaration in the midst of pain that 'My Redeemer lives' to the ultimate revelation of God, Job gives us a guide to what it means to follow God when life falls apart, and his story reminds us of God's goodness and faithfulness in the midst of pain and suffering.
