I've long considered Larkin Spivey a mentor, warrior, leader, and friend.
His thoughtful devotional [book in the] Battlefields and Blessings [series], Stories of Faith and Courage from the Vietnam War, links moments in time with timeless wisdom. This collection is "a gift a day"—recounting Vietnam experiences that connect and acknowledge all who have had the privilege of serving this great Nation.
—General Peter Pace, USMC (Retired) 16th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff

I received this book from a friend, and after reading it, I believed it was perfect for my dad. He is a Vietnam War veteran and found discussing the war was very difficult for him. I really felt that reading the stories of others would be inspiring and helpful for him to process through some of the thoughts and feelings that have been locked up for so long. After reading the book, my dad has been able to share his own personal experiences with us, whereas before he found it to painful. Thank you AMG Publishers for publishing this book.
